10A is a school of thought and space for play for black and brown queer and trans youth to wonder, to challenge, to dream, and to learn; A place for learners of all ages, cultural backgrounds, and lived experiences to gain access to lessons in black queer history and experience, taught by world class speakers, lecturers and industry professionals.
We build leadership in the next generation of artists, writers, designers, and other change-makers through high-quality, engaging educational programs that are always free and open for youth.
10A is built upon three core values:
︎ a knowledge of our history
︎ an understanding of the world and our place in it
︎ a commitment to leadership and service rooted in an obligation to improve the human condition
We believe that learning is a lifelong journey to share and shape ideas collectively, to deeply know our foundations and each find our place in dreaming, archiving, and actualizing new futures while honoring the past.
To understand the world, one must explore its mechanics and magic, learning from persons wiser than us so that we may collectively reimagine our futures and enact real-world application from our lessons to get us there.
The door is open,
Welcome to 10A!
